As part of this project we aim to set up a church directory specifically for those who will be accessing our initiative. If Churches want to add links to their websites then that will be done through the links page, however we will also be creating a hard copy of our directory to be made available at our meetings but also available here. Our aims are to help people in the churches where they are already based and therefore we would not be trying to push people to going to certain churches. If you want your church to be included please contact us via the contact form. We will be sending out a questionaire to interested churches in due course. We will be offering to help you set up a "blog" to easily show what is going on with your church. This will be rolled out as we get contact with different churches and will be done on an initial trial basis to ensure that people are happy with what we will be doing. Please note we also want to engage with churches who do not have 18-30's in their church but would like to. Please feel free to ask us questions. Blog set up This is a brief guide to setting up your own blog to give some details briefly about your church and to link to this page and include in our church directory. Once you have set up your blog it will look something like this I do not have any preferences for blogs and who provides them but i found this one really easy to set up and use First thing to do is to click on the orange create your blog now arrow Enter your email address, choose a password, re-type your password and then think of what you want to your blog to be called e.g. St Michaels Warrington Type in the word verification Tick the accept the terms and conditions box and click on continue Re-enter your blog name as your blog title and then again in the blog address section (if your blog address is already taken try adding where you are at the end e.g. not just St James but St James Warrington) Pick a template (any will do it will not matter immediately and if you wish to have a particular style then you can change this at a later stage) Next click on the orange arrow and you are done We will request that certain info is updated each week e.g. date/day and times of services and other activities of interest take place. Please also be aware of your child protection responsibilities, you may choose not to publish dates, times etc for childrens or youth activities.
Volunteer You've guessed it, this project cannot work without your help - we will be looking for help with a number of areas. Can you do any of the following? Make a cuppa? Wash up? Pray? Help tidy up? Speak to people? Help people with questions about their faith? Provide answers to questions submitted to our web forum?
This will require quite a few people of various stages of faith. If you can help do any of the above please get in touch and we will keep you informed of as and when we will be starting. Join So you are interested in joining fancyabrew.... Great!
